HR In Hospitality Awards – A Whole Host Of Winners!
The HR in Hospitality Awards 2014 were held on Friday September 12th and were the perfect way to celebrate the fantastic Human Resources talent that the hospitality industry boasts.
As a proud sponsor of HR in Hospitality, here at DAM we have been excited about the 2014 Awards for some time and it was fantastic for myself to be there in person at The Landmark Hotel in London to see the presentations and to give out an award as well.
DAM sponsored the Excellence in Employee Engagement Award and it was a privilege to be able to present it to Eugenio Pirri on behalf of worthy winners and one of our clients, The Dorchester Collection.
The Dorchester Collection weren’t our only client to win an award last Friday. De Vere Hotels & Village Urban Resorts also picked up awards – the Excellence in Human Resources Award as well the Highly Commended Award.
Another DAM client, The Royal Garden Hotel, also enjoyed a successful evening in taking the Excellence in Establishing Links with Schools & Colleges Award. Their Executive Chef Steve Munkley was also recognised and awarded the Tom Crowley Award.
Also celebrating on the night were PPHE Hotel Group which won the Excellence in Learning & Talent Development, while Laura Dowling of Jumeriah Carlton Tower & Lowndes Hotel won the Rising Star Award and Josie Boyd of Brookwood Partnership was awarded The Caterer.com’s Scholarship Award.
It was also lovely to see Carl Smith presented with the Special Award of Recognition for his work with HR in Hospitality over the years.
All in all it was a great event and truly an honour to be part of this celebration of the work that HR teams do in the hospitality industry.
With high staff turnover an issue for all in the industry, DAM is proud to provide employee benefits assistance which is specific to the unique needs of companies within hospitality. Given that we have so many clients from the hospitality industry we see every day the hard work that their HR teams do to engage their employees and they all deserve nights like this.
That’s why DAM is renewing its three year agreement to sponsor HR in Hospitality and I couldn’t be happier to do so!
