Praise From The Pensions Regulator! - How DAM Came To Auto Enrolment Rescue
Problems with auto enrolment compliance can be a nightmare for a company with a deadline looming. Luckily DAM was able to step in and save one such company from a penalty, even earning praise from The Pensions Regulator.
There’s no doubting that auto enrolment is a difficult process and there are a number of issues that can come up to disrupt the process and they always seem to turn up without any warning. That’s exactly what happened with one Scottish company DAM recently worked with and they came to us in a state of panic needing a solution. As an auto enrolment expert, thankfully we could deliver it.
The company in question had struggled on its own when problems with its auto enrolment provider made it impossible to successfully pass their staff’s pension contributions and enrolment information across to the scheme.
The HR team came to us at DAM and thanks to the auto enrolment advice of our very own Lorraine Kellie, we were able to help the company switch provider to The People’s Pension and successfully complete the auto enrolment process.
After sending out an amended communication to the chain’s workforce, active membership for all eligible jobholders was achieved and the swift and efficient turnaround meant that the company didn’t face a penalty from The Pensions Regulator for delay with auto enrolment compliance.
In fact, DAM and our client even received praise from The Pensions Regulator, which acknowledged the problems the company had experienced with its first provider before praising “the work and effort you (DAM)and your staff have carried out in resolving the issue.”
So the auto enrolment mission was accomplished! That was a DAM good job done.
