SleepOver to Help Turnover - Support the Hospitality Industry

The Governments ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme in August provided a much-needed boost for the recovery of the hospitality industry post lockdown. Due to its success, the Hospitality Professionals Association (HOSPA) has introduced a similar scheme known as ‘Sleepover to help Turnover,’ which is aimed at boosting the recovery of the hotel industry. The latest coronavirus preventative measures, which sees restaurants and bars closing at 10pm, the rule of 6, and weddings limited to 15 guests is taking further toll on an industry already at breaking point.

The purpose of the scheme is to incentivise members of the public to book hotel stays over the up and coming seasons of autumn and winter. Hotels that sign up for the scheme will offer a range of discounts and extras to guests from complementary breakfast, discounted food and drink and even room upgrades and extra night stays. The specifics - discounts available, T&C’s etc - will be decided on an individual hotel basis.

There are a range of hotels already signed up:

  • Apex Hotels: Offering 30% discounts to those who book a stay and will extend a 25% discount for them on food and drink

  • Cedar Manor: Offering a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to anyone who references #SleepOverToHelpTurnover when booking at stay. They will also make a donation of £5 per room booked to Hospitality Action for all stays booked in conjunction with this offer. Offer valid 7 days a week until 30th November 2020

  • Hotel Indigo Edinburgh: Offering a ‘Sober October Sleepover’ voucher which includes an overnight stay with breakfast, 3 course meal for 2 with unlimited soft drinks on offer. For October only.

A full list of Hotels included in the scheme can be found here.
